Author: Fyodor Dostoevsky.
The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky in one sentence: A bunch of Russian bros talk about Jesus, money and women.
Seriously now, this book does not survive the test of time. It's character-driven, but the characters are not interesting. And when there is a plot point and something actually happens, you are so tired of reading endless rants about "philosophy" you can easily miss it. The story starts after the middle of the book. There are some interesting developments. The investigation and trial are a breeze after too many pages of out dated moral preaches.
Verdict: 2 / 5 ★ - Not for me.
