You gotta love those Japanese horror Shinto films!
I find it fascinating how the film is able to construct such powerful and emotional images based on the Shinto religion that are universally scary. Even if one knows nothing about Japanese culture or religions, the thrill still works.
Verdict: 4.5 / 5 ★ - Very good.
